So really this blog is all about my buddy Mick.  Much to my family and friends' shock, I replied to a Spartan Race Street Team video Mick posted on Facebook asking for help, travel tips and/or a place to crash for his upcoming trip to the US in March.  He seemed like a decent guy in his video—and after all he is a Spartan!—so I told him he could stay in our home while he was in Charlotte for the Sprint.  Luckily he turned out to be exactly who he said he is, and we've been friends ever since.  He gets along with my hubby, my best friend, all of our dogs and all of our friends that he met.  You can't get much more of an endorsement than that.  Mick is a great guy, an outstanding Spartan elite athlete, and an Aussie... a kickass combination if you ask me.  (And he learned quickly my weakness for hearing him say "sweetheart" in that incredible Aussie accent of his!  Bless.)  

Additionally, I love to write, I'm obsessed with most things Spartan-related, I have free time on my hands, and I could use a pleasant distraction.  (If you're curious about me, you can visit my blog ;))
